“I only play a couple of months in a year, but I want to enjoy it the way I started playing, that’s something that keeps me going,” Dhoni stated during the launch of Garuda Aerospace’s ‘Ascend’, featuring the Amaran Drone and Land Mine Detection Drone, on Friday.

“However, to achieve that, I need to put in a significant amount of hard work for six to eight months, as IPL is one of the most challenging tournaments. When you’re playing at this level, age doesn’t really matter. The standard must remain high,” he elaborated.

Dhoni expressed that representing his country has always been his greatest motivation, particularly coming from a state that isn’t widely recognized for cricket.

“When I entered international cricket, my primary motivation was to represent my country,” he shared.

“It’s always been about the country for me, especially coming from a place that isn’t known for cricket. Once I got the chance, I aimed to contribute and be part of a winning team that strives to win every match and major tournaments, as well as bilateral series, and so forth.

“For me, my primary motivation was contributing to India’s victories. After retiring from international cricket, I can’t say it’s entirely the same, but now, it’s about my love for the sport,” he concluded.
