Powered by a 3nm A18 chip that debuted in the iPhone 16 in September 2024, the iPhone 16e can be configured with up to 512GB of storage. Although Apple typically doesn’t disclose the RAM specifications for its devices, it is reasonable to assume that it features 8GB of RAM, given its support for Apple Intelligence capabilities.
The iPhone 16e houses a single 48-megapixel rear camera equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS), alongside a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera on the front for selfies and video calls. It also includes the necessary sensors for Face ID, replacing the home button with Touch ID found in the third generation iPhone SE.
Users can enjoy stereo speakers on the iPhone 16e, which supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and GPS connectivity. The device also features Apple’s Emergency SOS via satellite capability in select regions. Unlike its predecessor, it is equipped with a USB Type-C port that enables 18W wired charging and 7.5W wireless charging.
While Apple does not disclose battery specifications for its smartphones, further details are expected to surface soon through device teardowns. The iPhone 16e has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, measures 146.7mm x 71.5mm x 7.8mm, and weighs 167g.
