Minister Shah emphasized these efforts during a surprise visit to the Khwaja Yunus Social Welfare Organization Center, where he reviewed treatment facilities and rehabilitation services offered by the government while interacting with staff and individuals affected by addiction.

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has rolled out the third phase of the Drug-Free Peshawar initiative.
Provincial Minister for Social Welfare, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, stated that under the guidance of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the government has kicked off the ‘Drug-Free Peshawar Phase Three’ campaign aimed at rehabilitating those struggling with drug addiction.
In this initiative, 2,000 individuals will be offered free treatment, and robust strategies will be implemented to address drug dependency.
During a surprise visit to the Khwaja Yunus Social Welfare Organization Center, he shared these insights. The provincial minister thoroughly assessed the center, interacted with both the staff and individuals battling addiction, and inquired about the available treatment options and rehabilitation efforts funded by the government.
