Wortmann opened the scoring in the third minute, finishing from a goalmouth scramble.

Shortly after their initial goal, Germany was awarded their first penalty corner but failed to convert. Just two minutes later, they secured another penalty corner, though India managed to defend well under pressure.

In the 18th minute, Germany increased their lead with a stunning field goal.

Two minutes into the second half, India earned a penalty corner, but Deepika’s flick lacked the necessary power to challenge the German goalkeeper.

Germany quickly earned another penalty corner but were unable to capitalize, thanks to resolute Indian defense.

In the 39th minute, India had another chance from a penalty corner, yet Udita’s slap hit was expertly blocked by the German defenders.

Two minutes into the final quarter, Germany widened their advantage with a powerful reverse hit from Schwabe.

Following this, the Indian team made concerted efforts to recover in the match, mounting several attacking plays but ultimately lacking the finishing touch.

Germany put the match out of reach a minute before the final whistle when Hachenberg successfully converted another penalty corner.

India will face Germany again on Saturday.

Currently, India stands seventh in the nine-team rankings with six points from four matches, while Germany holds a position above them with seven points from six games.
