Why is IIFA 2025 held in Jaipur?
This year is particularly significant for IIFA as it celebrates its silver jubilee. For those who may not be aware, IIFA’s initial phase will take place in Jaipur as part of the silver jubilee festivities, before moving to various locations across India and finally concluding in London—where the inaugural IIFA was held 25 years ago. IIFA aims to honor its remarkable journey by commencing the celebrations in its homeland, India.
IIFA 2025 Jaipur schedule
If you haven’t heard yet, IIFA intends to organize three major events throughout the year in different Indian cities. The first leg of the celebrations will occur at the JECC (Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre) from March 7 to 9.
March 7: The opening day will feature ‘The Journey of Women in Cinema’ panel, highlighting the contributions of women in the film industry. Madhuri Dixit and Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga will share insights into their experiences and challenges faced in cinema.
March 8: On the second day, there will be a press conference followed by the Digital Awards. This event will showcase some of the biggest stars in Bollywood and will mark the debut of the IIFA Digital Awards.
March 9: The grand finale will feature the IIFA Awards Night and a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Sholay. Renowned actors Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra, along with the cast of Sholay, will be recognized for their significant contributions to the iconic film. Additionally, the IIFA Awards Night will celebrate and honor the best talents in Bollywood.
