Weighing 1.16kg and only 14.9mm thick when closed, it boasts a dual-layer OLED display with a resolution of 3,296 x 2,472 pixels. Key specifications include 32GB RAM, up to 2TB SSD, and a 74.69Wh battery. Pre-orders start in China, with pricing set at CNY 24,000 for the 1TB model. A 14.2-inch MateBook Pro was also announced.

This device can be opened at a 90° angle to reveal a virtual keyboard, similar to a standard laptop setup. Additionally, it can be fully opened, offering an expansive 18-inch display, either vertically or horizontally, thanks to a built-in kickstand.

This laptop is both slim and lightweight, weighing in at 1.16kg (2.56lbs) and measuring 14.9mm when closed. When open, it reaches just 7.3mm thickness, thanks to an ultra-thin PCB and a robust three-layer aluminum structure.
A vapor chamber cools down the chipset with the help of two ultra-slim fans. The specific chipset details are still undisclosed, but it boasts 32GB of RAM and options for 1TB or 2TB SSD storage.
The display is noteworthy, featuring a 4:3 aspect ratio when opened (3,296 x 2,472px) and a 3:2 ratio in laptop form (2,472 x 1,648px resolution). It’s a dual-layer OLED LTPO panel capable of delivering a striking 1,600 nits, along with 1,440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. This dual-layer design enhances power efficiency by 30% while extending the panel’s lifespan threefold. Additionally, it is shielded by a non-Newtonian fluid and a carbon fiber support layer.

It’s worth noting that users aren’t limited to the virtual keyboard; Huawei has designed an ultra-thin 5mm wireless keyboard with a 1.5mm key travel. Constructed from an aluminum alloy, it weighs only 290g (0.64lbs), bringing the total weight to 1.45kg (3.19lbs) – quite impressive for an 18-inch display.
