Honor has introduced the Magic V3 with a slight battery upgrade over its predecessor, while the upcoming Magic V5 is set to feature a notable 6,000 mAh battery. The foldable design includes two cells, one at 2,070 mAh and another at 3,880 mAh, totaling 5,950 mAh, with the typical capacity exceeding 6,000 mAh. Like its predecessors, the Magic V5 will support 66W wired charging. Honor appears to be skipping the “Magic V4” due to superstition surrounding the number, a trend among Chinese manufacturers. Previous models launched in July, with global unveiling at IFA Berlin, suggesting a similar timeline this year.
Honor has unveiled the Magic V3, featuring a slight battery upgrade compared to its predecessor, but the upcoming model is set to make an even greater leap. The Honor Magic V5 (with the Magic V4 likely being skipped) is rumored to have a 6,000 mAh battery, based on information from MIIT and 3C listings.
This foldable model will feature a dual-cell battery configuration, comprising one cell with a capacity of 2,070 mAh and another at 3,880 mAh, totaling a rated capacity of 5,950 mAh. It’s anticipated that the actual typical capacity will exceed 6,000 mAh.
The device, designated as model number MBH-AN10, will offer support for 66W wired charging, maintaining consistency with the previous Magic V series.
Due to cultural superstition surrounding the number 4, Honor is projected to bypass the “Magic V4” and directly launch the Magic V5, a trend we’ve observed often among Chinese smartphone makers.

The last two iterations of this premium foldable device were released in July and subsequently showcased to a global audience at IFA Berlin. It’s logical to expect a similar timeline this year, though an earlier launch wouldn’t be surprising.
