A video of cricket presenter Sanjana Ganesan and Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan Miraz discussing India’s pacer Jasprit Bumrah has gone viral. Mehidy praised Bumrah but noted he wouldn’t be participating in the ongoing 2025 ICC Champions Trophy due to a back injury. Sanjana confirmed Bumrah was training at the National Cricket Academy. The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced his replacement, Harshit Rana. Bumrah, who last played in January, shared his recovery journey on Instagram with the caption “Rebuilding.” The Champions Trophy runs from February 19 to March 9, featuring matches in Pakistan and Dubai.
An amusing exchange between cricket presenter Sanjana Ganesan and Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan Miraz is gaining traction on social media. During their conversation, they discussed India’s right-arm pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who is also Sanjana’s husband. “He is a very different bowler and quite dangerous,” Mehidy remarked in the clip. In response, Sanjana said, “He is not coming here.” Mehidy then added, “Yeah, I know. We are very happy.” The Bangladesh player proceeded to inquire about Bumrah’s well-being. “He is okay. He is training at the NCA,” Sanjana replied.
It’s worth noting that Bumrah is absent from India’s squad for the ongoing Champions Trophy due to a back injury he sustained during the fifth and final Test in Australia in January of this year.

Indian pace spearhead Bumrah recently posted a gym photo after being sidelined from the ICC event. Previously, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had issued a statement confirming Bumrah’s withdrawal from the tournament.
“Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy due to a lower back injury. The Men’s Selection Committee has named Harshit Rana as Bumrah’s replacement,” the BCCI stated.
In his latest post, Bumrah took to Instagram to share a photo from inside a gym, captioning it with “Rebuilding.”

Bumrah has been out of action since January, with his last match being the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test against Australia in Sydney.
After bowling 10.1 overs in the first innings, he showed signs of discomfort and underwent scans. Australian doctors advised him against playing for the remainder of the Sydney Test. Although he batted in the second innings, he did not bowl.
