Hulu’s comedy “Mid-Century Modern” is submitting six actors for the 2025 Emmys, as confirmed by Gold Derby. Nathan Lane, who plays Bunny Schneiderman, will compete for Best Comedy Actor. His co-stars, Matt Bomer as Jerry Frank and Nathan Lee Graham as Arthur Broussard, are nominated for Best Comedy Supporting Actor. The late Linda Lavin, portraying Bunny’s mother, will be considered for Best Comedy Supporting Actress. Richard Kind and Pamela Adlon are submitted for guest roles. Nominations will be announced on July 15, and more performers may appear as additional submissions are allowed. “Mid-Century Modern” streams on Hulu.
Could Mid-Century Modern be heading towards a successful 2025 Emmy season?
Gold Derby has reported that the Hulu comedy is putting forward six different actors for recognition from its debut season.
More from GoldDerby
Nathan Lane, who stars as Bunny Schneiderman—a renowned bra designer who enjoys his twilight years with friends in Palm Springs—will be nominated for Best Comedy Actor. Lane has been nominated for an Emmy eight times and won his first award in 2022 for his guest role in Only Murders in the Building.
Bunny’s housemates—Matt Bomer as Jerry Frank and Nathan Lee Graham as Arthur Broussard—will be eligible for Best Comedy Supporting Actor. Bomer has been nominated for an Emmy twice for his roles in The Normal Heart (2014) and Fellow Travelers (2023). Graham, a Grammy-winning performer from Tony-nominated works such as The Wild Party and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, is pursuing his first Emmy nomination.

The late Linda Lavin, who plays Sybil Schneiderman, Bunny’s mother, will be put forth for Best Comedy Supporting Actress. Lavin received her first and only Emmy nomination in 1979 for her legendary role in the CBS comedy Alice, for which she won two Golden Globes. The Tony-winning actress from Broadway Bound passed away on December 29, 2024, while Mid-Century Modern was still being filmed. Should she earn an Emmy nomination, she would join the ranks of just 12 actresses who have received posthumous nods.
SAG Award winner Richard Kind, portraying Bunny’s love interest, Caroll Mintz, along with Pamela Adlon, who plays Bunny’s conflicted sister, Mindy Schneiderman, will be the show’s guest submissions.
Since these represent Hulu’s submissions, it’s possible that more cast members from the show could appear on the final ballot as anyone is allowed to submit themselves.
