Speculation regarding an all-glass iPhone has been circulating for years. Former Apple Design Chief Jony Ive reportedly envisioned a completely glass device back in 2017, aiming for a sleek and lightweight design that would “look like a single sheet of glass.”
Gurman’s recent report also made it clear that the iPhone 17 Pro series will not feature a two-tone back as some renders may imply. Instead, the models will have a consistent color scheme similar to the current iPhone 16 Pro lineup. Gurman did confirm that the new camera island will extend the full width of the 17 Pro models.
