Glen Powell, the actor recognized for his performances in “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Anyone But You,” has launched a new line of essential sauces named Smash Kitchen, featuring ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, and barbecue sauce.

During a recent episode of “The Martha Stewart Podcast,” Powell discussed his innovative condiment line, which is organic, produced in the U.S.A., and made from naturally sourced ingredients.

Powell shared that the inspiration behind his condiment line came from wanting to find an alternative to existing products laden with chemicals and additives.

Grown up in Texas, Powell mentioned that his family always crafted their own sauces during barbecues to enhance flavor.

“Living in LA… I believe I became more conscious of what my food contained,” he mentioned.

“When you’re cooking and entertaining, you aim to provide the best.”

Powell pointed out that his family members, including his niece and nephew, consume “a lot of condiments” — mirroring the habits of many Americans — which often include high-fructose corn syrup, preservatives, and artificial colors.

“I felt that creating my own was the best approach.”

“There has to be a way for us to have an organic condiment… that also tastes great,” he noted.

“I wasn’t finding that out there, so I decided that creating my own was the solution.”

Smash Kitchen also features Dijon mustard, spicy mayo, hot honey ketchup, and hot honey BBQ sauce, with Powell mentioning that the latter is prepared using organic jalapeños and honey sourced from Pennsylvania.

He aims to nourish his body “for the long haul” through nutritious eating, while still relishing the experience.
