Ghost has unveiled their new song "Satanized" and a groundbreaking video highlighting the emergence of their new figurehead, Papa V Perpetua. The release coincides with the promotion for their upcoming album, Skeleta, set to drop on April 25. The song features catchy instrumentation and religious themes, delving into possession. The video includes a unique experience where viewers can morph into characters within the clip. Ghost will embark on a world tour starting April 15 in Manchester, England, visiting multiple cities in Europe and North America, concluding with two shows in Mexico City in September.

Ghost has unveiled their latest track “Satanized,” accompanied by a groundbreaking video that introduces Papa V Perpetua and provides insights into their upcoming album, Skeleta.

The band has been hinting at the arrival of Papa V Perpetua recently, and the new frontman for the group made a notable appearance during a midnight watch party from Las Vegas.

With his debut, the band has delivered an incredible new song that marks the beginning of their promotion for the Skeleta album. This continues their progression toward a more commercially appealing sound. The song features religious themes, addressing the struggles with and remorse over a possession.

I should have known / Not to give in,” shouts Papa V at a moment, later singing in the chorus, “Save me from the monster I see in me / I’m paralyzed / Save me from the bottom of the heart I know / I’m Satanized / I’m Satanized / I’m Satanized.

For a song about possession, it easily pulls you in. The infectious drum beat that drives the track is so captivating that it’s tough not to get lost in its rhythm. When combined with some impressive guitar riffs and an ’80s-inspired solo, it results in a bona fide earworm ready to dominate your playlists for a while.

About the Video

The video maintains the religious theme, centering on a sort of exorcism. However, that might not be the most fascinating aspect of the clip.

Ghost has collaborated with Jason Zada of Elf Yourself to create a unique video experience where viewers can essentially transform into characters featured within the footage. All you need to do is quickly upload your photo, and “The Satanizer” will generate a personalized video featuring you in the action, which you can also share on social media to demonstrate that you too have been “Satanized.”

Ghost’s Upcoming Album Skeleta
