Gemini Live Featuring Camera and Screen Sharing Now Accessible to All Android Users

Google has expanded access to its new Gemini Live feature, which includes camera and screen sharing, to all Android users, regardless of whether they have the Gemini Advanced tier or the free version. Initially launched for Pixel 9 and Galaxy S25 users, the feature received positive feedback, prompting this rollout. Over the next few weeks, all Gemini app users will be able to use it. To access, users simply need to open the app, select the Gemini Live icon, and choose between the camera or screen sharing options, enabling interactive conversations with Gemini.

At the beginning of this month, Google introduced Gemini Live, featuring camera and screen sharing capabilities, but it was initially limited to Pixel 9 and Galaxy S25 users subscribed to the Gemini Advanced tier.

In response to the “great feedback” received regarding the feature, the tech giant has opted to expand access to all Gemini users on Android devices, including those who use the free version of Gemini.

As is customary with Google’s software releases, this will take place “over the coming weeks.” So don’t worry if you don’t see it immediately. Once it becomes available to you, simply open the Gemini app, select the Gemini Live icon, and then choose either the camera or screen share icon.

This feature enables you to have a live conversation with Gemini about whatever you’re observing on your camera or screen. Because it’s part of Gemini Live, interactions can feel natural—you can interrupt Gemini whenever you wish, for instance.
