On Tuesday, an official reported that five individuals sustained injuries during a shooting incident involving two groups in the Jyoti Nagar area of northeast Delhi.

The police stated that the occurrence was reported at around 9 pm on Monday at the Jyoti Nagar police station by a man who alleged that his son had been shot by unknown assailants.

When police arrived, they discovered that numerous rounds had been fired during the altercation. The injured were immediately taken to GTB Hospital for medical assistance, the official added.

A crime scene investigation team and forensic specialists were brought in to assess the location, where several spent cartridges and one live cartridge were found.

The police have lodged a case at the Jyoti Nagar police station and initiated an inquiry. Special teams have been established to analyze both technical and manual evidence in order to identify and capture the shooters, according to the official.

The official further mentioned that the motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and the police are investigating possible gang disputes or personal grudges.

Local residents are being interviewed, and CCTV footage from the area is under review for any potential leads.
