A tragic event unfolded on an ’80s-themed Royal Caribbean cruise … as the fiancée of Faster Pussycat’s lead singer was lost after going overboard; her body has yet to be recovered, TMZ reports.
Kimberly Burch—fiancée of Faster Pussycat frontman Taime Downe—tragically fell to her death shortly after an argument with him aboard the ship, as reported by Kimberly’s mother.
Carnell Burch informed TMZ that Taime reached out to her on Monday to share the devastating news. Whether Kimberly fell or jumped from the ship is still unknown, but Carnell firmly believes that Kimberly would not intentionally harm herself.

Carnell disclosed that Kimberly had been drinking while on the cruise, which was unusual for her. She emphasized that Kimberly was not struggling with depression or emotional issues and was genuinely looking forward to the trip from Miami.
A spokesperson from Royal Caribbean Group stated to TMZ, “Our crew promptly initiated a search and rescue operation, is collaborating with local authorities, and is providing support and assistance to the guest’s family during this challenging time. In consideration of the family’s privacy, we cannot share any further details.”
Kimberly was traveling with Taime Downe and Faster Pussycat, as the band participated in The 80s Cruise—a nostalgia-themed trip featuring performances from Squeeze, Adam Ant, Tiffany, and Men at Work. The tragic incident reportedly transpired on the inaugural day of the 7-day round trip, departing from Miami.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Coast Guard told TMZ that the incident occurred approximately 20 miles from Freeport, Bahamas. The Coast Guard dispatched a helicopter crew and other personnel to aid the Royal Bahamas Defense Force in their efforts, which were later halted by the Royal Bahamas Defense Force.
According to Kimberly’s mother, there has been no direct communication with authorities yet, as the family endeavors to connect with them in order to retrieve the body.
It’s reported that Taime and Kimberly had been in a relationship for about 6 to 7 years.
