Draymond Green, Dyson Daniels, and Amen Thompson Lead NBA All-Defensive First Team

Dyson Daniels, Draymond Green, Amen Thompson, Luguentz Dort, and Evan Mobley were named to the NBA’s All-Defensive First Team, with Green marking his first selection since the 2020-21 season. This is Mobley’s second time on the team, having won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year title. Daniels, Dort, and Thompson received their first honors. Rudy Gobert, Jaren Jackson Jr., Toumani Camara, Jalen Williams, and Ivica Zubac were named to the Second Team, with Gobert marking his eighth selection. Mobley topped the voting with 99 of 100 first-team ballots.

On Thursday, the NBA announced the selections for the All-Defensive First Team, which includes Dyson Daniels, Draymond Green, Amen Thompson, Luguentz Dort, and Evan Mobley.

This marks Green’s ninth selection to the NBA All-Defensive team, but it’s the first time he has been named to the first team since the 2020-21 season. His comeback comes a year after he was not chosen for the All-Defensive team, having played only 55 games. According to NBA regulations, players must compete in at least 65 games to qualify for the All-Defensive team.
