Delhi University and IGNOU Open Applications for Integrated BEd Program – Find Out More

Admissions for the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the 2025-26 academic year will be conducted by four universities: Delhi University (DU), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Dr BR Ambedkar University (AUD), and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU). The four-year program includes undergraduate education leading to a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree. Admission is based on the National Common Entrance Test (NCET), with applications open until March 16 and the test scheduled for April 29. DU will offer 250 seats, while IGNOU has 300, and AUD and IPU have additional seats for various BEd programs.

Admissions for the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the academic year 2025-26 will be carried out by four universities. This four-year integrated program, tailored for those aspiring to enter the teaching profession, will be available at Delhi University (DU), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Dr. BR Ambedkar University (AUD), and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU). Admission Process For ITEP

The admission to ITEP will rely on an entrance test, scheduled for April 29. Interested applicants can submit their applications online at nta.ac.in and exams.nta.ac.in/NCET until March 16, 11.30 pm. The ITEP program has been crafted in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP), and candidates must take the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) to gain admission.

Expansion Of ITEP In Delhi University

The ITEP was inaugurated at two colleges within Delhi University in 2023, and last year it expanded to include one more college and the Department of Education. In the upcoming academic session, admissions will be available through Mata Sundri College, Jesus and Mary College, Shyama Prasad Mukherji College, and the Education Department.

ITEP Seats Across Universities

250 Seats at Delhi University (DU):

Delhi University (DU) will provide a total of 250 seats for its admissions. On the other hand, IGNOU will offer admissions for BA-BEd (Secondary), BSc-BEd (Secondary), and BCom-BEd (Secondary) across two units each, totaling 300 seats allocated for these programs.

The School of Education Studies at Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD), under the Delhi government, is accepting applications for the BA-BEd (Preparatory) and BA-BEd (Secondary) programs.

For DU, each of the two courses comprises 50 seats, totaling 100 seats. Furthermore, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) will provide 50 seats for its BA-BEd (Secondary) program.

The Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) will be implemented in 64 selected central and state universities and colleges nationwide.
