Motorola is set to launch the Moto G86, confirmed by recent leaks showing renders and a detailed specs sheet. This phone will come with two battery options (5,200 mAh or 6,720 mAh) and will feature a Dimensity 7300 chipset, offering 8 GB or 12 GB RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage, with microSD support. It includes a triple rear camera setup, highlighted by a 50 MP main sensor, and a 32 MP front camera. Notably, it will receive four years of bimonthly updates in the EMEA region, complying with EU regulations.

Motorola is gearing up for the launch of the Moto G86, and last month we caught a glimpse of some renders. Today, we have a new leak confirming that those images were authentic while also presenting a complete specifications sheet.

This leak follows closely on the heels of the Moto G56, which also surfaced in a similar manner. It appears that Motorola will be offering two battery variants for this model. Notably, the Moto G86 is set to receive four years of bimonthly updates, but only for the EMEA region, as mandated by the European Union.

Being part of the Moto G entry series, this phone will feature a Dimensity 7300 chipset. It will be available with either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, along with a microSD slot (which may have a dedicated position in the card tray, depending on the market).

The rear camera setup includes three lenses, with the main one featuring a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 sensor and OIS; the secondary camera will be a standard 8 MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, it sports a 32 MP sensor nestled within a punch hole.

The Moto G86 is expected to have a battery capacity of either 5,200 mAh or 6,720 mAh. Brands like Realme and Xiaomi have already adopted this approach, and it appears that Europe might receive the smaller battery variant, which will also feature a thicker body.

The significant variance stems from differing regional requirements for product testing and certification. EU member nations mandate that manufacturers comply with IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) regulations; however, products must undergo sequential testing. This lengthy process seems to be causing Motorola to expedite the launch of the Moto G86.
