The charge was laid by on-field umpires Richard Kettleborough and Sharfuddoula, along with third umpire Joel Wilson and fourth umpire Alex Wharf, while match referee Andy Pycroft executed the penalty, deducting five percent from the match fee.
Pakistan’s captain Mohammad Rizwan accepted the violation, eliminating the need for a formal hearing.
As per Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which pertains to minimum over-rate violations, players incur a fine of five percent of their match fee for each over bowled short of the allocated time.
