Just days after scoring a career-high 17 points for the Los Angeles Lakers, Bronny James had another outstanding performance, this time in the G League, contributing 39 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists to the South Bay Lakers’ 122-118 victory over the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Reassigned to the G League this week ahead of the Lakers’ four-game road trip, James showcased his improved skills on Monday night, hitting 14 of his 21 attempts and making four out of eight 3-pointers.

LeBron James couldn’t help but express his pride in his son’s performance afterward.

Throughout 23 games this NBA season, Bronny has averaged 2.3 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in limited playing time. Following his notable game against the Milwaukee Bucks last Thursday, he mentioned that he remains ready to step up whenever Lakers head coach JJ Redick calls upon him from the bench.

“I’ve gained my confidence and getting my comfortability over just reps and getting out there and taking advantage of my opportunity if it was given,” James stated. “Just being ready at all times. I think that’s the biggest thing for me is the stay ready games, practices, and stuff like that. Taking advantage like I did tonight.”

The G League regular season concludes this week, and unfortunately, the 14-17 South Bay Lakers will not be making it to the playoffs.
