BMW’s Digital Key now supports the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and Razr 50 Ultra (Razr+ in North America). On the Razr, it operates via NFC, while the Edge 50 Ultra uses UWB technology with Android 15; otherwise, it defaults to NFC. UWB allows the car to unlock as you approach, with options to turn this feature off or require phone unlocking first. For NFC, users must tap their phone against the door handle and place it in the smartphone tray to start the car. The Digital Key also enables sharing access with friends and family, including iPhone users.
