Ramdev showcased a video of himself jogging beside a horse, touting the benefits of Swarna Shilajit and Immunogrit Gold for anti-aging and immunity. Johnson responded by highlighting Haridwar’s poor air quality, which significantly raises health risks, even equating the pollution to smoking. Following this exchange, Johnson tweeted about being blocked after commenting on Ramdev’s post. Johnson, known for his anti-aging investments, has previously voiced concerns about air pollution in India affecting his health.
Yoga guru and Patanjali founder Ramdev has blocked Bryan Johnson on his X account following the tech entrepreneur’s criticism of Ramdev’s anti-ageing assertions. On Tuesday, Ramdev shared a video depicting him running alongside a horse, asserting that specific Patanjali products can offer anti-ageing advantages and enhance immunity.
In reaction to Ramdev’s footage, Bryan Johnson pointed out the poor air quality in Haridwar, where Ramdev resides, noting that it elevates the risk of heart and lung diseases.
Ramdev decided to block Bryan Johnson on X after the entrepreneur commented on a post advertising Patanjali products, emphasizing concerns regarding air quality in India.
In a post featuring a video, Ramdev declared, “If you aspire to run like a horse, strengthen your immunity, and promote anti-ageing, consume Swarna Shilajit and Immunogrit Gold.” Both items are part of Patanjali, which he co-founded with Balkrishna in 2006.
Mr. Johnson, who recently exited Nikhil Kamath’s podcast due to air pollution concerns, pointed out the air quality issues in Haridwar.
Shortly after, Mr. Johnson tweeted that Ramdev had blocked him.

I replied with this comment and he hid it and blocked me:
Air quality in Haridwar right now is
PM₂.₅ 36 µg/m³ which is equivalent to smoking 1.6 cigarettes a day. This increases risks of heart disease by 40–50%, lung cancer by 3x, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and early death… pic.twitter.com/z99RZDjXar

Mr. Johnson gained attention recently after he abruptly left Nikhil Kamath’s podcast, citing worries about India’s air pollution. He has consistently highlighted the country’s deteriorating air quality since then.
The tech billionaire, recognized for investing millions in his rigorous anti-ageing regimen, mentioned that his short visit to India had already led to several health issues attributed to poor air quality.
“During my time in India, I had to cut this podcast short due to the bad air quality. Nikhil Kamath was a wonderful host, and we were experiencing a great conversation. The problem was that the room we were in circulated outside air, rendering the air purifier I had brought useless,” Mr. Johnson later clarified.
