Following his enlistment in 2023, V and fellow members RM, Jimin, and Jungkook are fulfilling mandatory military service, with anticipation building for their reunion expected by June 2025.

BTS’ V has returned with an update, offering fans an exclusive glimpse into his life in uniform. The K-pop star, known as Kim Taehyung, has unveiled a selection of never-before-seen photos, marking an important milestone in his journey as ‘Sergeant Kim.’
V delighted his followers with a blend of eye-catching and fun images on Instagram.
In the first picture, V is seen holding a bouquet, showcasing how his toned physique reflects the benefits of military training. He is also captured in a military uniform, and his new sharp haircut adds to his appealing character.
Alongside the pictures, the BTS member shared a heartfelt message: “I came to report Sergeant Kim’s survival! It’s D-107. The cold winter has passed, and I’ll take care of myself in the warm spring and get ready for it!”

V enlisted in the South Korean military in 2023, joined by RM, Jimin, and Jungkook. Their enlistment followed Jin, the eldest member, who began his service in December 2022. According to South Korean law, all able-bodied men are required to serve between 18 to 21 months, and BTS members are no exception.
Prior to their enlistment, Big Hit Music confirmed the news.
The company expressed gratitude to fans for their unwavering support, stating: “We would like to inform our fans that RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have started the military enlistment process. The artists are preparing to fulfill their military service obligations. We will provide further updates in due course. We appreciate your continued love and support until their safe return,” read the official statement from Big Hit Music.
Currently, BTS is on hiatus as the members complete their national service. The countdown to their reunion has officially started, with anticipation building day by day. Fans are eagerly looking forward to the moment when all seven superstars will once again share the stage.
Jin, the eldest member, completed his military service in June 2024, followed by J-Hope’s return in October. The group is expected to reconvene fully by June 2025.
