Apple’s 2027 lineup will introduce new iPhone, iPad, and Mac models, along with an all-new iPhone Pro, a foldable iPhone, and smart glasses, as revealed by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Coinciding with the iPhone’s 20th anniversary, the iPhone 19 Pro will utilize extensive glass and feature a curved design with under-display Face ID, eliminating display cutouts. The foldable iPhone will boast a nearly invisible crease on a 7.8” display, using a Samsung Display panel. Additionally, Apple plans smart glasses similar to Ray-Ban Meta, and new Apple Watch and AirPods models with built-in cameras for enhanced Visual Intelligence.
Apple’s lineup for 2027 will feature the usual new models of iPhone, iPad, and Mac, along with an exciting all-new iPhone Pro, a foldable iPhone, and smart glasses. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman provided these updated insights in his latest Power On newsletter.
The new iPhone Pro and Fold models are set to be released just in time for the 20th anniversary of the iPhone. Gurman had previously mentioned that the iPhone 19 Pro would “make extensive use of glass,” and additional details suggest that this device will feature a curved design. Importantly, it will not include any display cutouts, indicating that Apple will finally introduce an under-display Face ID feature.
Apple’s inaugural foldable device will come equipped with a “nearly invisible” crease on its 7.8” main display, courtesy of an exclusive panel from Samsung Display. This feature is a recurring rumor and will help set the iPhone Fold apart from competing devices.
Moreover, the report indicates that Apple also plans to introduce its first smart glasses in 2027. These will resemble Ray-Ban Meta glasses and include Apple Intelligence along with multiple cameras to provide Visual Intelligence features.
Gurman further highlighted that Apple aims to release Apple Watch and AirPods models that include built-in cameras for Visual Intelligence functionalities.
