With iOS 18.4, Priority Notifications will be introduced – AI will assess which notifications are significant and will direct them to a specific area on the lock screen. In addition, Apple Intelligence will be broadened to various regions and languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified). The older iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will also gain access to the Visual Intelligence feature.
The updated software will introduce Ambient Music Controls, which consist of simple modes (Sleep, Chill, Productivity, and Wellbeing), each designed to launch a user-selected playlist. Additionally, there will be new applications and updates, including a Food section for News+ (featuring curated articles and recipes for food enthusiasts) and a new Vision Pro app that assists Vision Pro owners in discovering new XR content on their devices and queuing it for download.
Alongside iOS 18.4, developers can also download release candidates for iPadOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, tvOS 18.4, and visionOS 2.4.
