Apple Intelligence Set to Launch in the EU This April, Expanding Language Support and Availability

Apple has announced the rollout of its AI features, branded as Apple Intelligence, with the upcoming release of iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 in April. This marks the first introduction of these features in the EU, along with support for more languages including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and several Asian languages. The Apple Vision Pro will also receive Apple Intelligence, initially supporting US English. Apple plans to expand these features, especially for Siri, in the months ahead, indicating that the advanced AI-enhanced Siri won’t launch with the new OS updates as previously speculated.

Apple has officially revealed the next stage of its rollout of AI features under the Apple Intelligence brand. Starting in April, the company will launch iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, as previously speculated. This release marks the first time that Apple Intelligence features will be accessible in the EU.

The wait has been extensive, but it’s now nearing an end. Apple Intelligence will also be offered in additional languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (simplified), and localized English for Singapore and India.

According to Apple, the new languages will be available “in nearly all regions around the globe.” Additionally, Apple Intelligence will be introduced for the Apple Vision Pro, initially supporting only US English, “enabling users to communicate, collaborate, and express themselves in entirely new ways.”

Apple has stated that it will keep expanding the Apple Intelligence feature set “in the coming months,” which includes enhancing capabilities for Siri. This hints that the AI-boosted Siri might not debut in April along with iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, as was rumored recently.
