Marvel Studios recently announced the cast for “Avengers: Doomsday,” sparking speculation about the absence of stars like Hugh Jackman and Tom Holland, possibly hinting at their inclusion in “Avengers: Secret Wars.” Brie Larson will headline Comic Con Liverpool in November, leading to speculation that she may be in the UK for “Doomsday” filming. The full cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, and more, with rumors suggesting further big names may appear. “Avengers: Doomsday” is set for release on May 1, 2026, followed by “Avengers: Secret Wars” on May 7, 2027.
While the announcement of the cast for Avengers: Doomsday by Marvel Studios at the end of March was thrilling, what piqued fans’ interest even more was the absence of certain stars.
No mention was made of Hugh Jackman, Tom Holland, Ryan Reynolds, or Elizabeth Olsen, among others, which has led to speculation about whether they are being kept a secret or potentially reserved for Avengers: Secret Wars.
Comic Con Liverpool has revealed that Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson will be the featured guest at its show in November, raising questions about whether the Oscar winner will be in the UK for filming Avengers: Doomsday.
Adding to the speculation, nearly the entire cast of Ahsoka attended last weekend’s Comic Con Liverpool event and are currently in the UK filming season 2.
Although it could be a coincidence, it seems plausible that Larson will be in the UK for a Captain Marvel project. Keep in mind, the Russo Brothers have indicated that filming for each movie typically takes about six months, suggesting that the Lessons in Chemistry star might be preparing for Secret Wars by November.
“I believe there is still so much yet to explore with Carol,” Larson shared regarding the future of her character in the MCU during the press tour for The Marvels. “I feel that being part of this team has unlocked something in her that hadn’t been revealed before, and I truly loved that evolution.”
“I hope Marvel doesn’t come after me,” she added, “but there is definitely something I’d love to share, although I won’t divulge it.”
Comic Con Liverpool welcomes Brie Larson, known for projects such as Captain Marvel/The Marvels, Unicorn Store, Kong: Skull Island, and many more.
