Xiaomi, renowned for its smart devices and its immensely popular SU7 electric sedan, is applying its expertise to this upcoming electric SUV.
A standout feature of the YU7 is the elimination of a traditional dashboard. Instead, drivers will utilize a Panoramic Head-Up Display (PHUD), which projects vital driving information onto the windshield, allowing the driver to keep their eyes on the road. The center console features an infotainment screen that is slightly smaller than the one in the Xiaomi SU7 sedan, powered by Xiaomi’s HyperOS for smooth integration with other Xiaomi devices.
The steering wheel of the YU7 is both elegant and practical. Finished in Alcantara and carbon fiber, it provides a luxurious touch. Its flat-bottom design adds a sporty flair, complemented by physical buttons for convenient access to key functions. The YU7 is scheduled for launch in June 2025, with an anticipated starting price of approximately RMB 250,000 yuan, or about $34,200. It is expected to come with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration and will likely feature an 800V electrical architecture, allowing for rapid charging and a range exceeding 435 miles.
