Amazon’s Prime Day, a major sales event, will return in July, although specific dates are not yet announced. This year, deals will be available in various countries, including Australia, Canada, and the UK, with Ireland joining for the first time. Exclusively for Amazon Prime members, the event will feature significant discounts across over 35 categories, like electronics and beauty. Last year’s event set sales records, with over 200 million items sold by small and medium-sized businesses. Prime members saved an average of $500, nearly quadrupling the membership cost, with rapid delivery options reaching 9 billion items.
The highly anticipated Amazon Prime Day event is approaching once again, set to take place this July. While the retailer has yet to announce the specific dates — yes, dates, since Prime Day usually spans two days — it has shared a list of countries and territories where customers can enjoy discounts.
Here’s the lineup: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the US, and the UK. Notably, Amazon Prime members in Ireland will also be able to partake in their own Prime Day deals for the first time ever.
As the title suggests, the exclusive deals on Prime Day are available only to Amazon Prime subscribers. The retailer has promised “substantial discounts” across over 35 product categories, including electronics, kitchenware, beauty products, and apparel.
During last year’s Prime Day, Amazon achieved record-breaking sales, which is the main objective of this event—Prime Day is scheduled during typically lower sales periods to boost activity, and it certainly fulfills that purpose.
According to Amazon, small and medium-sized businesses sold over 200 million items during Prime Day 2024, and last year saw the fastest delivery times ever, with 9 billion items shipped on the same or the following day after orders were placed. In the US, Prime members averaged savings of over $500 on their deliveries through Prime last year, nearly quadrupling the annual membership cost.
