Alcatel V3 Ultra 5G to Lead the Brand’s Comeback

Alcatel is making a comeback in the smartphone market with the upcoming launch of the Alcatel V3 Ultra 5G, confirmed by Madhav Sheth, Founder of Alcatel India. He shared a photo of the phone’s retail box, which features a black design with yellow accents stating “Born in France, now in India.” The V3 Ultra will be manufactured by NxtCell, an Indian entity aiming to promote it as “100% Made in India.” The phone is expected to have three rear cameras and potentially an under-display selfie camera. Questions remain about future models in the V1 and V2 series.

The Alcatel brand is making a comeback in the smartphone market, with its first product launch imminent. The device, known as the Alcatel V3 Ultra 5G, will signify this revival, as confirmed by Madhav Sheth, Founder of Alcatel India.

This executive, who also leads HTech India (Honor’s local partner), shared a photo on social media that showcases the device’s name along with its retail packaging.

His post indicated that he was responsible for choosing the packaging, selecting a black box with yellow accents emblazoned with the words “Born in France, now in India.” Alcatel devices will be produced and sold by NxtCell, an Indian company that holds the naming rights and intends to market the phones as “100% Made in India” products.

Several shades of blue were also explored for the packaging, and one of the alternate boxes features an image of a phone that lacks a punch hole for the selfie camera. It remains uncertain whether this camera is situated in the upper right corner or if the Alcatel V3 Ultra 5G will incorporate an under-display front camera. The chosen box design also indicates the presence of three rear cameras and an LED flash.

The official also disclosed that Padget Electronics, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies, will act as the official manufacturer for NxtCell India, producing smartphones for the Alcatel brand.

The V3 Ultra name builds anticipation for Alcatel, but it poses some significant questions as well. The most pressing one is whether the V1 and V2 series will also be released; there’s also curiosity about whether the Ultra will be accompanied by Pro, Plus, or standard variants.
