Samsung Galaxy A25 and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) Receive One UI 7 Upgrade with Android 15

Samsung has begun rolling out One UI 7 based on Android 15, starting with the Galaxy A25 and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024). The Galaxy A25 update, a 3.5GB download, is currently available only in Korea, marked by software version A256NKSU5CYE2. It includes the May 1, 2025 security patch. The Tab S6 Lite (2024) is receiving a similar update, with a 3GB download and firmware version P620XXU5BYE5, also featuring the May 1, 2025 security patch. A global rollout is expected to follow in the coming weeks. Users can manually check for updates via the settings menu.

Samsung has finally begun the rollout of One UI 7 based on Android 15, and it seems to be picking up momentum. Two new devices receiving the update today are the Galaxy A25 and the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024).

The update for the A25 is a 3.5GB download, bringing you to software version A256NKSU5CYE2. However, it’s important to note that this is currently rolling out only in Korea. Historically, it takes Samsung about one to two weeks to initiate a global rollout for their devices. This update also includes the May 1, 2025 security patch level, which is current and better than what’s available on other devices, indicating positive progress.

Now, focusing on the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024), the situation is similar—the One UI 7 update is also currently restricted to Korea with the P620XXU5BYE5 firmware version, which includes the May 1, 2025 security patch level. This update is a 3GB download, so, much like the A25, it’s advisable to connect to a stable network.

If you’re eager to check for the update manually, you can do so by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install on your device.
