The Alcatel V3 Ultra 5G, set to be announced on May 27, marks the brand’s return to the smartphone market. Key specs revealed on Flipkart include a NxtPaper display with stylus support, a familiar design resembling the TCL 50 Pro NxtPaper, and a 6.8-inch Full HD+ screen optimized for low battery use. It features a 108 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP camera setup and is powered by a Dimensity 6300 chip, with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Pricing in India is expected to be lower than the €299 ($326) retail price of the TCL 50 Pro.
The Alcatel V3 Ultra 5G signifies the French brand’s revival in the smartphone market. Scheduled for announcement on May 27, its key specifications were unveiled today on a dedicated Flipkart page.
This device will feature a NxtPaper display and will come with a stylus included in the retail box. Its design is quite reminiscent, as the Alcatel V3 Ultra is essentially a rebranded TCL 50 Pro NxtPaper.
Equipped with a 6.8-inch Full HD+ display featuring Max Ink Mode, the phone aims for lower battery consumption and extended reading time. While functioning perfectly in this mode, it offers a monochrome experience.
The device includes a dedicated Nxtpaper key for quickly switching between modes. There are four available modes: full color, color paper, ink paper, and max ink, each with distinct colors and refresh rates.
On the rear, you will find a 108 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP camera setup, and Alcatel has retained the labeling on the back, still referring to it as “ultra pixel,” similar to the TCL model.
The phone will be offered with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, powered by a Dimensity 6300 chip. This is a notable shift from the 50 Pro, which boasted 512 GB of storage.
The big question remains regarding the pricing of the Alcatel V3 Ultra 5G. TCL priced the 50 Pro at €299 in Europe last September, approximately INR 29,000.
We expect the Indian price to be considerably lower, given that this is Alcatel’s first product launch in four years, and they aim to forge a strong relationship with their audience.
