Lava is developing a 5G model called the Shark 5G, following the 4G-only Shark launched in March. Leaked marketing renders reveal two color options—blue and gold—featuring “5G” branding on the rear. The Shark 5G includes two rear cameras, with a 13 MP main camera, compared to the 50 MP sensor of the 4G version, likely due to cost-cutting. Expected to run Android 15, it will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, potentially powered by the Unisoc T765 SoC. Further details on pricing and availability have yet to be announced.
Lava introduced the 4G-only Shark in March, followed by its release in April. Now, the brand appears to be developing a 5G-capable version, aptly named the Shark 5G. Today, two marketing renders of this model have surfaced, showcasing it in two color options as shown below.
The Shark 5G will be available in blue and gold, similar to the 4G version. This 5G iteration will also feature “5G” branding on the back alongside the Lava logo.

The 5G variant is equipped with two rear cameras (compared to one on the 4G model) and features a circular design for the LED flash housing. The camera setup resembles that of the Shark 4G.
Interestingly, the Shark 5G seems to feature a 13 MP main camera, while the 4G model boasted a 50 MP sensor. It appears that some cost-cutting measures were necessary to make the 5G addition affordable.
The Lava Shark 5G is anticipated to launch with Android 15, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. It may be powered by the Unisoc T765 SoC, as the Shark lineup appears to focus on Unisoc processors. It should be budget-friendly, although specific details regarding pricing and availability are still pending. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
