Samsung’s 2022 foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4, are starting to receive the One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, earlier than expected. Currently available in Korea, the rollout is set to expand globally soon. These devices were excluded from the beta program, and details on specific features remain unclear. Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5 are beginning to get the update, starting in India, while the Galaxy S23 FE is also updating in Korea. This swift rollout signals a potential acceleration in Samsung’s update timeline.
The Samsung foldable phones from 2022 are now officially getting the One UI 7 update. This latest version of Samsung’s interface, based on Android 15, is rolling out to the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4.

This update has begun to roll out slightly ahead of schedule (originally expected in May), but it is currently available only in Korea. It is anticipated that it will expand to many more countries and regions worldwide in the coming days and weeks.
These devices were not included in Samsung’s beta testing for the One UI 7 rollout, and the company has not released official changelogs, making it unclear which features are included. In Korea, the software version that introduces One UI 7 carries the suffix HYD9, though this may differ internationally.
Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 have begun receiving the One UI 7 update, but currently, the rollout appears to be limited to India. The Galaxy S23 FE is experiencing the update in Korea as version S711NKSU5CYDA, with a download size of approximately 5GB, which includes the April security patch.
This indicates that Samsung may be accelerating the rollout of One UI 7 after several months of delays. Let’s hope for more to come.
