Motorola Unveils Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro Featuring Large Batteries and Quad-Curved Displays

Motorola has launched its Edge 60 series, featuring the Edge 60 Pro and Edge 60 as its first quad-curved smartphones. Both models boast a 6.7-inch quad-curved p-OLED display, delivering 4,500 nits brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. They share a triple camera system, including a 50MP main shooter. Enhanced durability with IP68/IP69 ratings and MIL-STD-810H certification is included. The Edge 60 Pro offers a 6,000mAh battery, 4nm Dimensity 8350 SoC, and various RAM/storage options, while the Edge 60 features a Dimensity 7300 SoC and microSD support. Prices start at £380 for Edge 60 and £600 for Edge 60 Pro.

Motorola has just launched its Edge 60 series, marking its first quad-curved models in the market. The Motorola Edge 60 Pro and Edge 60 are available in a selection of Pantone-curated colors and feature new textured backings.

Both phones sport a 6.7-inch quad-curved p-OLED display, which Motorola claims is its brightest yet, boasting 4,500 nits. The screen is a HDR10+ panel with a resolution of 2712x1220px and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, they come with a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP 1/1.56-inch Sony Lytia LYT-700C main sensor.

The cameras include a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide with PDAF, a 10MP 3x zoom lens at f/2.0 offering up to 50x Super Zoom, and a 50MP f/2.0 selfie camera on the front.

Both models also boast enhanced durability, featuring IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, alongside MIL-ST-810H certification for extreme temperature conditions, 95% humidity, high altitudes, and drops from heights of up to 1.5 meters.

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is available in three different finishes, each offering a unique texture. Pantone Shadow features a leather-like back, Pantone Dazzling Blue has a nylon-inspired textured design, and Pantone Sparkling Grape provides a sandpaper-like rear panel.

Equipped with the 4nm Dimensity 8350 SoC, the Edge 60 Pro offers 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM (expandable via RAM Boost), alongside storage options of 256GB or 512GB utilizing UFS 4.0 technology.

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro comes with an impressive 6,000mAh battery— a significant upgrade from the previous model’s 4,500mAh. It also supports 90W TurboPower wired and 15W wireless charging.

Motorola has introduced enhanced moto ai capabilities in the Edge 60 series. The Next Move feature can recognize various on-screen elements (such as reading recipes, creating music playlists, adding calendar reminders, etc.). In terms of photography, the new Photo Enhancement Engine fine-tunes details, minimizes noise, and produces optimized images. Pantone integration extends beyond the phones’ aesthetics to include Pantone Validated SkinTone for photography.

The display itself is Pantone Validated, and the devices’ stereo speakers are equipped with Dolby Atmos.

The Motorola Edge 60 is available in a nylon-like Pantone Gibraltar Sea, a leather-like Pantone Shamrock, and a sandpaper-like Pantone Plum Perfect finish. There are two variants of the Edge 60: one featuring a 5,200mAh battery and another with a larger 5,500mAh battery. Regardless of the choice, both models will charge via 68W TurboPower (wired).

Powering the Motorola Edge 60 is the Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, alongside options for 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. Unlike the Pro model, the Edge 60 includes a microSD card slot for additional storage.

The Motorola Edge 60 series will be available in selected markets across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania, but will not launch in the US. Both models will also come bundled with their respective 90W and 68W chargers in certain markets.

The starting price for the Motorola Edge 60 is £380, while the Motorola Edge 60 Pro will commence at £600.
