Infinix has unveiled another model in the Note 50 series, featuring an exciting addition that enhances its appeal. Introducing the Infinix Note 50s 5G+ with a scent-infused back panel.
This device is positioned at the budget-friendly end of the midrange market, powered by a Dimensity 7300 chipset and equipped with dual cameras.
The Note 50s features a 6.78” AMOLED display boasting Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, and peak brightness of 1,300 nits. It is shielded by Gorilla Glass 5, which has a slight curve on both sides.
The camera configuration includes an elongated octagonal module, consistent with the design of other Note 50 models. The setup comprises a 64 MP main camera featuring a Sony IMX 682 sensor and a 2 MP secondary lens. Additionally, there is a dual LED flash and Active Halo Lighting with multiple modes, including a notification light.
The standout feature of the Note 50s is its scent. Infinix refers to it as “Energizing Scent-Tech,” available exclusively in the Marine Drift Blue color variant, which features a vegan leather back. This technology employs microencapsulation to integrate fragrance into the leather (made of plastic), designed to release aroma over time.
The fragrance has top notes of marine and lemon, middle notes of lily of the valley, and base notes of amber and vetiver. The potency and duration of the scent may vary based on user habits and environmental factors, but Infinix has not specified how long the scent will last before fading.
The device runs on Android 15 with XOS 15 layered on top. It includes a robust 5,500 mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging, with the adapter included in the box. The battery also features bypass charging and 10W reverse wired charging capability.
The “5G Plus” in its name signifies that the Note 50s is compatible with a broader range of frequency bands. While it offers faster speeds and higher capacity, its coverage might be limited. Essentially, it’s a marketing term for mmWave connectivity, which is currently accessible only in specific urban, industrial, and technologically advanced areas in India.
