Huawei and Chery have launched the Luxeed R7 electric vehicle, available in Max and Ultra trims under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. With a sleek design and dimensions of 195.1 inches long, it boasts a drag coefficient of 0.247Cd for enhanced efficiency. Built on Huawei’s Tuling platform, the R7 features “intelligent silent” EREV technology for minimized vibrations. The Max trim offers a range of 1,040 miles, while the Ultra trim reaches 964 miles. Both trims have a 53.4 kWh battery and rapid charging capability. Interior highlights include Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4, luxurious seating, and a panoramic sunroof. Prices start at RMB 299,800.

The Luxeed R7, which comes in Max and Ultra variants, is integrated into the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) and is designed to enhance the driving experience for users.

Featuring a stylish and aerodynamic look, the Luxeed R7 measures 195.1 inches in length, 78 inches in width, and 64.3 inches in height. Its drag coefficient of 0.247Cd is engineered to optimize efficiency, with an optional package available that includes a rear diffuser and wing for those seeking a sportier aesthetic.

Under its elegant exterior, the Luxeed R7 is based on Huawei’s Tuling platform, featuring a front double wishbone and a rear multi-link independent suspension system. The standard continuous variable damping adjusts the ride for enhanced comfort and handling capabilities.

An impressive feature is Huawei’s innovative “intelligent silent” EREV technology, which regulates the 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that serves as a range extender, reducing vibrations during start-stop cycles by a claimed 90%. Both trim levels come with a 67-liter fuel tank to facilitate the longer range.

Both the Max and Ultra versions are equipped with a 53.4 kWh ternary lithium battery and leverage Huawei’s Giant Whale 400V platform for fast charging, allowing to go from 20% to 80% in just 15 minutes. The rear-wheel-drive Max trim delivers a CLTC pure electric range of 224 miles and a total CLTC range of 1,040 miles. Its rear electric motor generates 227 kW (304 horsepower) and allows acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in just 7.4 seconds.

The all-wheel-drive Ultra variant features Huawei’s DriveONE dual motors, incorporating a 155-kW front motor and a 227-kW rear motor, which enhances performance to achieve a 0 to 62 mph sprint in a mere 4.9 seconds. The Ultra version provides a CLTC pure electric range of 206 miles and a total range of 964 miles.

In terms of interior features, the Luxeed R7 is powered by Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4, offering a contemporary and intuitive experience, highlighted by a 15.6-inch central control screen and a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel. Standard amenities across the R7 lineup include a panoramic sunroof, as well as heated, ventilated, and massaging seats. The front seats provide a “zero-gravity” option, 18-way electric adjustments, a 10-point massage system, and a 340-millimeter heated leg rest for ultimate relaxation.

The Luxeed R7 Max is priced at RMB 299,800 (approximately $41,400), whereas the Ultra trim is available for RMB 319,800 (around $44,200).
