The highlight of Coachella is its dual weekends – so if you missed the initial experience, don’t fret!
Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Charli XCX, and others will return to the Colorado Desert this Friday for another round of exhilarating performances, along with gusty winds.
Even better, the opening weekend provided insights on acts worth seeing (Lady Gaga), those to skip (Travis Scott), and potential breakout stars (Benson Boone).
With that in mind, here’s a guide to this weekend’s performances and their schedules on Coachella’s extensive YouTube livestream.
1) Lady Gaga faces her inner demons

Lady Gaga’s extravagant stage shows have occasionally crumbled under their own high expectations. However, this time it was different.
Returning to Coachella for the second time, having made a last-minute appearance in 2017 to replace Beyoncé, the pop icon delivered one of the most unforgettable performances. For two hours, the audience was immersed in her electrifying energy and infectious synth beats.
Set inside a decaying gothic opera house, her two-hour spectacle illustrated the struggle between her inner angels and demons for her very essence.
In “Poker Face,” the two factions engaged in a fierce chess match, while “Perfect Celebrity” showcased her being entombed in a shallow grave, serenading a skeleton.
It was bold, audacious, and extravagantly over the top, culminating in a celebratory nine-minute rendition of “Bad Romance.”
If there’s one performance you should catch, make it this one.
Catch it on the Coachella Stage at 11:10 PM on Friday (local time), or 7:10 AM on Saturday (UK time).
2) Missy Elliot makes up for lost time

Despite a career spanning three decades, Missy Elliott only embarked on her maiden tour last year.
Fortunately, tracks like “Get Ur Freak On,” “Lose Control,” and “Pass That Dutch” still resonate with the freshness and innovation they displayed when first released, and Missy’s relative inexperience on stage didn’t show.
She made a grand entrance on stage inside a massive car exoskeleton, resembling a hip-hop Transformer, and delivered her set with precise choreography and infectious cheer.
Unfortunately, her performance had to conclude after just 55 minutes.
See her on the Coachella Stage at 9:00 PM on Friday (local time), or 5:00 AM on Saturday (UK time).
3) Lola Young battles through illness

“I’m either going to faint or throw up,” announced Lola Young at the outset of her set last weekend. “It’s going to be one or the other.”
The British artist, whose popular hit “Messy” has resonated with fans globally, was contending with illness and heat exhaustion during her performance. Nevertheless, she persevered, leading a massive singalong to “Messy” and debuting a new track titled “Spiders.”
With her health restored, her second weekend show promises to erase any negative memories from her first.
Tune in on the Mojave Stage at 4:50 PM on Friday (local time), or 12:50 AM on Saturday (UK time).
4) Green Day stands against the MAGA agenda

While Travis Scott closed the main stage on Saturday, Green Day was technically the headliner, and the California band put on an electrifying and cathartic performance that matched their reputation.
They kicked things off with a fiery rendition of “American Idiot,” maintaining their recent tradition of modifying the lyrics so that frontman Billie Joe Armstrong proclaimed, “I’m not part of the MAGA agenda.”
Despite this, political discussions took a backseat as the group delivered a high-voltage set filled with fan-favorite tracks, including the energetic “Basket Case” and the more introspective “Boulevard of Broken Dreams.”
Catch them on the Coachella Stage at 9:05 PM on Saturday (local time), or 5:05 AM on Sunday (UK time).
5) Post Malone’s lively hoedown

“Post-ee, Post-ee, Post-ee.”
Even though it was the final night of festivities, fans still had plenty of energy for Post Malone’s headlining performance.
He rewarded their enthusiasm with a relaxed set that infused some of his earlier pop/rap hits with the “yee-haw” flair of his recent album “F-1 Trillion.”
Surprisingly, it all meshed well, though the eight-piece band occasionally overshadowed his vocals, and some fans expressed disappointment over the absence of hip-hop beats, suggesting the performance might have been better suited for Coachella’s sister festival Stagecoach, where he debuted his country leaning last year.
Notably, the set lacked any guest appearances, prompting speculation that the 29-year-old is saving surprises for the second weekend.
Given his collaborations with stars like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Dolly Parton, it could definitely be worth staying tuned for.
Don’t miss him on the Coachella Stage at 10:25 PM on Sunday (local time), or 6:25 AM on Monday (UK time).
6) Back to Blackpink

In 2019, Blackpink made history as the first Korean act to headline Coachella. This year, members Lisa and Jennie returned with dazzling solo sets ahead of their summer stadium tour.
Lisa performed first on Friday night, delivering a well-choreographed set that blended hard-hitting rap tracks like “Money” and “Lifestyle” with softer melodies such as “Moonlit Floor” and “Dream.”
Post her appearance in the third season of “The White Lotus,” she affirmed that music is, indeed, her primary passion. Backstage, she reflected on her performance with fellow band member Rosé (Conclusion: The desert winds complicate singing).
Meanwhile, Jennie drew a massive crowd on Sunday evening, performing a set of disco-infused tracks resonant with her friend and collaborator Dua Lipa.
Standout moments included the vibrant “Like Jennie,” produced by Diplo and featuring its viral dance break, and the charming pop track “Love Hangover,” which highlighted her vocal prowess.
Though the 29-year-old isn’t the most precise performer, this adds to her charm, making her feel more relatable than her impeccably polished peers.
Catch Lisa on the Sahara Stage at 7:45 PM on Friday (local time), or 3:45 AM on Saturday (UK time). Jennie performs in the Outdoor Theatre at 7:45 PM on Sunday (local time), or 3:45 AM on Monday (UK time).
7) Charli XCX brings the heat

Charli XCX attracted a massive audience with a wild and hedonistic take on her iconic breakout album, “Brat.”
Performing solo, she became a captivating whirlwind of hip rolls, hair flips, stomach crunches, and knee drops, transforming Coachella’s main stage into a vibrant, sweat-drenched nightclub.
In contrast to other grandiose performances, hers demonstrated how one individual can dominate the stage…almost.
At various points, she invited her “Brat” collaborators – Troye Sivan, Billie Eilish, and Lorde – to join her. One enthusiastic fan remarked that it felt akin to “The Avengers for the LGBTQ community.”
It remains to be seen if the special guests will reappear during Coachella’s second weekend, but Charli is undoubtedly a must-watch.
Check her out on the Coachella Stage at 7:15 PM on Saturday (local time), or 3:15 AM on Sunday (UK time).
8) Benson Boone vs d4vd

Those who have seen Benson Boone perform over the past year know he enjoys theatricality, often leaping off his piano, showing off his bravado.
He didn’t disappoint during Coachella – bouncing around the stage with uncontainable energy. To top it off, he welcomed Brian May for an impressively executed rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
On the flip side, Texan talent d4vd had a rough time when a backflip attempt didn’t go as planned.
Fortunately, he managed to recover and delivered a spirited performance that captured the uplifting vibes of his bedroom pop hits “Feel It” and “What Are You Waiting For.”
Afterward, he vowed to practice more before his next show. “Can you imagine if I fall again?” he said sheepishly.
Watch Benson Boone on the Coachella Stage at 7:05 PM on Friday (local time), or 3:45 AM on Saturday (UK time). D4vd will perform at the Gobi Stage at 5:55 PM on Friday (local time), or 1:55 AM on Saturday (UK time).
9) Gustavo Dudamel’s genre-bending live performance

Last Saturday, the entire LA Philharmonic Orchestra set off on a bus journey to perform at Coachella for the first time.
Under the direction of Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, they presented what was described as “Dudamel’s mixtape” – gracefully shifting between classical masterpieces like Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries” and Beethoven’s “Fifth Symphony,” culminating in modern pop hits.
Adding to the spectacle, they were joined by a star-studded lineup featuring indie legend Beck, Icelandic vocalist Laufey, country sensation Maren Morris, and rap icon LL Cool J.
“I told the orchestra, ‘I’m thrilled to conduct, but I also wish I could be out where the crowd is to revel in the moment,’” Dudamel shared with Variety ahead of the event.
He teased that the second weekend would feature an exciting mix of new guest appearances, although precise details remain under wraps.
The LA Philharmonic will perform at the Outdoor Theatre at 6:25 PM on Saturday (local time), or 2:25 AM on Sunday (UK time).
10) T-Pain sets the ultimate party vibe

“It took me 20 years to get to this stage,” T-Pain remarked towards the end of his Saturday set, and he certainly maximized every moment of his hour-long performance.
He covered classics like Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'” and Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey,” while also racing through his early 2000s hits like “Buy U a Drank” and “I’m in Luv,” as well as his featured verses on Flo Rida’s “Low” and Kanye West’s “Good Life.”
The crowd welcomed him like a hero, embracing his set as a nostalgic escape to the early 2000s.
When the performance concluded, fans began a campaign to have T-Pain featured in next year’s Super Bowl halftime show.
Catch him on the Coachella Stage at 5:25 PM on Saturday (local time), or 1:25 AM on Sunday (UK time).
Other highlighted performances

However, there’s no need to sacrifice sleep to catch the dazzling performances in California.
Coachella offers generous livestreams that repeat throughout the day, allowing you to rewind and find the performances you wish to see.
Other notable moments from the first weekend included Megan Thee Stallion, whose star-studded set featured appearances from Queen Latifah, Victoria Monét, and Ciara; along with Kraftwerk, reminding everyone they are the pioneers of electronic music.
Belinda Carlisle reunited with her former band The Go-Go’s for a nostalgic journey back to the sunlit 1980s, while the UK’s Sam Fender captivated audiences with a fiery set that highlighted the lyrical depth of his new album, “People Watching.”
Among the emerging stars eyeing a main stage slot were South Africa’s curvaceous R&B sensation Tyla and the New York dance ensemble Fcukers, whose infectious hit “Bon Bon” became one of the most recognizable tracks of the weekend.
