Vivo announces that the X200 Ultra will arrive in April.

Vivo participated in the Boao Forum for Asia, showcasing its new mixed reality headset and discussing 6G technology, while confirming the upcoming launch of the vivo X200 Ultra in April, alongside the X200s. The X200 Ultra was named the “Official Smartphone of Boao Forum for Asia” and boasts significant advancements in imaging, featuring a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor and a three-module camera setup that includes a periscope lens. Expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the device may also involve collaboration with Fujifilm and Zeiss for its camera. Both phones are likely exclusive to China.

The vivo X200 Ultra has already received recognition as the “Official Smartphone of Boao Forum for Asia”. The device will “incorporate vivo’s latest imaging technologies”, though the company has not provided specific details.

Recently, vivo’s Product Manager posted a picture of the camera setup featuring three modules, which includes a periscope lens (85mm). The main camera will be equipped with a 200MP sensor, a customized version of Samsung’s ISOCELL HP9.

The primary lens will switch to a 35mm configuration—most smartphones typically utilize wider lenses in the low 20s—and there will be a 14mm ultra-wide option. The main camera is expected to utilize a 50MP Sony sensor, the 1/1.28” LYT-818.

While vivo has not officially confirmed it, the X200 Ultra is anticipated to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite rather than a Dimensity 9400 (or 9400+). There are also rumors suggesting that vivo is partnering with Fujifilm alongside Zeiss to enhance the camera technology on the Ultra.
