This week marked the biggest tech event of the year, the Mobile World Congress, although the buzz began the week before—still, we’re counting these stories as part of MWC.
Numerous announcements came from Infinix, Nothing, nubia, Samsung, Tecno, Xiaomi, and even Apple took advantage of the tech-centric backdrop to launch various products.
Here are the updates that garnered the most attention. We start with Infinix’s Note 50 series, which saw a launch in Indonesia. The Note 50 and Note 50 Pro feature a significant upgrade with larger 5,200mAh batteries, along with faster 144Hz display panels and improved camera systems. The Infinix Note 50 is available in Green, Red, Gray, and Gold, starting at IDR 2,699,000 ($165) for the 8/256 GB version. The Note 50 Pro offers more striking colors of Purple, Gold, Gray, and Silver, beginning at IDR 2,999,000 ($182) for the base 8/256 GB variant.
Nothing introduced the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro, both featuring nearly identical specifications but different designs. They are powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, with options of 8GB or 12GB RAM, and feature 6.77-inch OLED displays. Both models come with 5,000mAh batteries supporting up to 50W charging. The Phone (3a) includes a 50MP main camera, a 50MP 2x zoom lens, and an 8MP ultrawide, alongside a 32MP front-facing camera. The Pro model upgrades to a longer 70mm zoom with a larger 50MP sensor, plus a 50MP selfie camera.
The Phone (3a) starts from £329 / €329 / INR 24,999 for the 8/128GB version, and £379 / $379 / €379 for the 12/256GB option. The Pro’s 12/256 GB variant is priced at £449 / $459 / €459 / INR 33,999, while India will see 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants priced at INR 29,999 and 31,999, respectively.
ZTE’s nubia announced the Neo 3 and Neo 3 GT, both budget-friendly gaming smartphones equipped with shoulder triggers and 120Hz displays. The Neo 3 runs on a Unisoc T8300 chipset and comes with either a 5,200mAh or 6,000mAh battery, depending on the market. The Neo 3 GT adds a Unisoc T9100 for enhanced performance and a 4,082 mm2 vapor chamber for improved cooling, also available with either a 5,000mAh or 6,000mAh battery.
Note that both devices support LTE only.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy S26 models. The A56 is powered by an Exynos 1580 processor and features a 6.7-inch display. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with faster 45W charging. The starting price for the Galaxy A56 is €479/$499.
The Galaxy A36 comes equipped with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, and a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W charging. It is priced the same as the previous model, with the 128GB base variant costing $400/€380. Moving to the Galaxy A26, it features an Exynos 1380 chipset, a 6.7-inch OLED display, and a 5,000mAh battery with the older 25W charging. The Samsung Galaxy A26 starts at €300 for the base 128GB model.
Samsung has committed to providing six years of security updates and six OS updates for all three models.
Apple introduced new products, including a MacBook Air featuring the M4 chip, the Mac Studio with M4 Max, a new M3 Ultra SoC, the new base iPad (2025) with an A16 chip, and the latest iPad Air featuring an M3 chip.

The Galaxy A26 will not be launched.
