Navi Mumbai: Less than a day after arriving at a lodge in Shirawane, Nerul, with her supposed boyfriend, a 29-year-old woman from Ahilyanagar was discovered dead in her room on Thursday. Preliminary investigations suggest that she may have succumbed to an “overdose of sex pills” and excessive alcohol intake.
According to the police, there were no visible injuries on the body. The Kalina forensic science laboratory has been requested to submit a report regarding the cause of death.
Brahmanand Naikwadi, senior inspector at Nerul police, reported that CCTV footage indicated the alleged boyfriend departed around 5 am. Law enforcement officials visited the Kalamboli address listed on his Aadhaar card, only to find that he had moved out three months earlier.
