Bryan Johnson, a prominent entrepreneur focused on anti-aging, is introducing a new ideology called “Don’t Die,” which he describes as a potential religion aimed at ensuring human survival and aligning artificial intelligence with humanity’s interests. In his X posts, he emphasizes “Don’t Die” as a unifying framework for the future, claiming it could be history’s fastest-growing ideology. Johnson outlines his personal commitment to this philosophy through healthy living and scientific methods. He invites others to join the movement via a new app, fostering a community dedicated to this ideology, addressing existential risks posed by AI, and aiming for a harmonious future.
Bryan Johnson, the American entrepreneur famous for his anti-aging initiatives, is “creating a religion”. Through a series of X posts, Mr. Johnson unveiled his new philosophy “Don’t Die”, which he sees as essential for human survival and aims to align artificial intelligence (AI) with humanity’s core ideals. “Don’t Die is the next significant framework. It’s how we move into the age of AI and tackle death,” he stated in one of his updates. The tech mogul also revealed the introduction of his new app and encouraged individuals to join in to become the ones who can be “admired and respected” by the 25th century.
“Dear humanity, I am creating a religion. Just a moment, I predict your response. Please hold your reflex reaction and let me elaborate. First, here’s what will occur: + Don’t Die becomes the quickest-growing ideology in history. + It preserves the human race. + And brings forth an existence that is more extraordinary than we can envision. It is unavoidable. The only question remains: will you be an early or late adopter?” he expressed.
Dear humanity,
I am creating a religion.
Just a moment, I predict your response. Please hold your reflex reaction and let me elaborate.
First, here’s what will occur:

Mr. Johnson asserts that the world is experiencing “four essential transformations”. “We are birthing superintelligence (AI), no current ideology addresses AI alignment, with AI, the survival of our species is not assured, and with AI, biological death is no longer a certainty,” he noted, adding, “We face the threat of extinction without a cohesive framework to resolve human and AI alignment.”
To tackle this, Mr. Johnson characterized “Don’t Die” as “a universal translator and the ultimate unifying theory of existence”. For him, it transcends an idea; it is a principle he embodies in his everyday life.
“On a personal level, for years I’ve aimed to eat, sleep, and breathe Don’t Die, literally. To embody it in every one of my 35 trillion cells. Practically, this involves: + adhering to a sleep schedule, exercising regularly, and eating healthily + measuring and enhancing every organ in my body + eliminating toxins, reducing stress, and spending time with loved ones,” he shared.
“As a result, I currently have the slowest aging rate ever recorded. Science, measurement, and systematic protocols are effective. The same methodical approach can be applied to Earth, AI, and the human race,” the millionaire clarified.

But why “Don’t Die” now? To respond to this, Mr. Johnson wrote, “Years ago, I conducted a thought experiment envisioning myself alongside individuals from the 25th century.” He added, “It was clear that they’d assert Don’t Die is how humanity salvaged itself and integrated with AI. Now is the moment we scale Don’t Die to all forms of intelligent existence employing the same methodologies.”
He concluded his thread with a link, inviting others to participate and encouraging them to join the movement. “BECOME A DON’T DIE CITIZEN: Download the Don’t Die app, monitor your Don’t Die Score, connect with others, and establish a local community. This is how we convert Don’t Die from a concept into a worldwide movement,” he stated.
In the comments section, social media users expressed diverse opinions.
“It’s a mistake to refer to it as a religion since many people already practice one and may not want to embrace a second. It’s better to label it a movement, ideology, or something else that isn’t typically seen as mutually exclusive,” one user remarked.
“I’m really excited about this!! I’m planning to start doing hikes, meetups, runs, and other/dd activities for Don’t Die Michigan beginning this Summer. Feel free to connect with me on the Don’t Die app or my community here on X,” another user commented.
