CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The National Weather Service has enhanced a freeze watch that was issued earlier on Sunday morning as temperatures fall below the freezing point.
A freeze warning will be active from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Monday for Berkeley and Dorchester Counties, as well as inland Colleton, inland Jasper, Allendale, and Hampton Counties. According to Live 5 First Alert Chief Meteorologist Bill Walsh, temperatures may plummet to as low as 29 degrees.
Charleston County, Beaufort County, coastal Colleton County, and coastal Jasper County will be under a frost advisory as temperatures dip to 32 degrees.
Temperatures below freezing can harm sensitive plants and disrupt crops.
