In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha Patel reflected on her birthday celebrations with Sanjay Dutt, highlighting his protective and possessive demeanor. She shared that when visiting his home, she is required to wear traditional attire like salwar-kameez instead of Western clothes. Ameesha described Sanjay as someone who genuinely cares for her, stating, “He’s always ensuring my well-being,” and recalled a private birthday party at his house. The two have previously collaborated in films such as Tathastu. Ameesha recently starred in Gadar 2, while Sanjay’s next project is the horror-comedy The Bhootnii, slated for release on April 18.

Ameesha states Sanjay is very possessive
Ameesha revealed that she must wear a salwar-kameez when she visits Sanjay’s home, explaining, “This was with Sanju, at his home on my birthday. He is very protective and possessive. When I visit his house, I’m not permitted to wear shorts or Western outfits; I must be in a salwar-kameez. Sanju often says, ‘You’re far too innocent for this film industry. I’ll find a husband for you, arrange your marriage, and perform your kanyadaan.’”
She elaborated that Sanjay consistently checks on her, stating, “He’s extremely protective and cherishes me, always making sure I’m doing well. He frequently asks if I’m alright. This was one of my birthdays, at Sanju’s home, where I was cutting the cake at a private gathering.”
In 2022, Ameesha posted a photo on Instagram of her birthday celebration at Sanjay’s place, saying, “THROWBACK WEEKEND… my intimate birthday celebration at @duttsanjay’s home with my dearest friends and family. My dear @duttsanjay made it incredibly special for me… the most golden-hearted person in the industry.”

Ameesha was last featured in Gadar 2 alongside Sunny Deol. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film is a sequel to the 2001 hit Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and shattered multiple box office records, grossing ₹686 crore globally. The actress has yet to announce her forthcoming project.
Sanjay Dutt’s forthcoming films
Sanjay was last seen in the Telugu film Double iSmart, which did not perform well at the box office. He will next appear in the horror-comedy The Bhootnii. Written and directed by Sidhaant Sachdev and produced by Deepak Mukut & Sanjay Dutt, the film features Mouni Roy, Palak Tiwari, and Sunny Singh in prominent roles. It is slated for release in theaters on April 18.
