Apple unveils M3 iPad Air models

Apple has launched the 2025 iPad Air models in 11″ and 13″ sizes, now powered by the M3 chip, which features an 8-core CPU, 9-core GPU, and 16-core NPU, delivering 2x performance compared to the M1 iPad Air. Other specifications remain unchanged from last year’s models, including display resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The new Magic Keyboard offers a larger trackpad and a row of function keys. Pricing for the 11″ starts at $599 and the 13″ at $799, with pre-orders available now and deliveries starting March 12. Both models are offered in four color options.

Today, Apple introduced its newest iPads, featuring the 11” and 13” iPad Air (2025) models equipped with the Apple M3 chip. This new chipset is essentially the main enhancement for the updated iPad Airs.

The 11” (2025) and 13” (2025) Air models are powered by the M3 chip (featuring an 8-core CPU, 9-core GPU, and a 16-core NPU), replacing the M2 found in last year’s versions. Each model is accompanied by 8GB of RAM. According to Apple, the M3 iPad Airs deliver twice the performance of the M1 iPad Air released in 2022. However, there isn’t detailed information on how the M3 models compare to their M2 predecessors from the previous year.

The rest of the specifications are consistent with last year’s iPad Airs, maintaining the same screen sizes, display resolution, and a refresh rate capped at 60Hz. Users can expect dual 12MP cameras, Apple Intelligence, and a USB-C 3.1 connector. Notably, Apple did not upgrade the Wi-Fi 6E or Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. Touch ID remains integrated within the power button.

Another new feature is the revamped Magic Keyboard, which now includes a larger trackpad and a fresh row of function keys.
