Apple has launched the iPad Air (2025) featuring the M3 chip in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, along with the 11th generation iPad (2025) that includes the A16 Bionic chip and starts with 128GB of storage. The new iPad Air also came with an upgraded Magic Keyboard, which includes a larger trackpad and function row. Pricing in India starts at ₹59,900 for the iPad Air (11-inch) and ₹34,900 for the iPad (2025). Both models go on sale on March 12 and include features such as improved camera systems and up to 10 hours of battery life.
Apple unveiled the iPad Air (2025) on Tuesday, providing an updated iteration of the iPad Air released last year. This new version features Apple’s M3 chip and is offered in both 11-inch and 13-inch sizes. Additionally, the company launched the 11th generation iPad (2025), which comes equipped with the A16 Bionic chip, with storage now beginning at 128GB for the base model. Apple also debuted a redesigned Magic Keyboard for the new iPad Air that includes a larger trackpad, a 14-key function row, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
iPad Air (2025), iPad (2025) Price in India and Availability
The price of the iPad Air (2025) in India starts at Rs. 59,900 for the 11-inch Wi-Fi model, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular version starts at Rs. 74,900. The 13-inch model is offered in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular versions priced at Rs. 79,900 and Rs. 94,900, respectively. It will be available in Blue, Purple, Space Grey, and Starlight colour options.
Conversely, the iPad (2025) with Wi-Fi connectivity is priced starting at Rs. 34,900, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular model starts at Rs. 49,900. This tablet will be available in Blue, Pink, Silver, and Yellow colourways.
Pre-orders for the iPad Air (2025) and iPad (2025) commence today, with the tablets available for purchase starting March 12. The Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air (2025) will be available in 11-inch and 13-inch versions priced at Rs. 26,900 and Rs. 29,900, respectively. The Magic Keyboard Folio for the iPad (2025) is priced at Rs. 24,900.
iPad Air (2025) Specifications
The most significant hardware enhancement in the iPad Air (2025) is Apple’s M3 chip. It is reported to deliver approximately double the performance compared to the M1-equipped iPad Air and operates on iPadOS 18, supporting Apple Intelligence features. According to the company, the M3 chip also enhances graphics capabilities with support for hardware-accelerated ray tracing, mesh shading, and dynamic caching.

Similar to its predecessor launched last year, the new iPad Air features a Liquid Retina LCD display available in 11-inch (2,360×1,640 pixels) and 13-inch (2,732×2,048 pixels) configurations. It includes a 12-megapixel wide rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, and a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera at the front with an f/2.0 aperture.
Both the 11-inch and 13-inch versions of the iPad Air (2025) come in Wi-Fi and WiFi + Cellular models. Connectivity options feature Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular variants offer support for GPS, 5G, and 4G LTE networks. It includes a three-axis gyroscope, accelerometer, barometer, ambient light sensor, and a fingerprint sensor for Touch ID.
The iPad Air (2025) is fitted with a USB Type-C port. The 11-inch version has a 28.93Wh battery, while the 13-inch option includes a 36.59Wh battery. Apple claims the new iPad can provide up to 10 hours of battery life (Wi-Fi) and 9 hours (Wi-Fi + Cellular) during video playback.

The new iPad (2025) features the A16 Bionic chip, which debuted in September 2022. Apple asserts that this new model will deliver a 30 percent performance boost over the previous entry-level iPad, which was powered by the A14 Bionic processor. It also runs on iPadOS 18 but does not support Apple Intelligence features.

Aside from the new processor, the iPad (2025) now comes with 128GB of standard storage, an upgrade from the previous model’s 64GB. It retains the same 12-megapixel (f/1.8) rear camera and a 12-megapixel front-facing Center Stage camera (f/2.4) as its predecessor, the iPad (2022).
Likewise, the network connectivity options on the iPad (2025) mirror those of the model released three years ago. It supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular models feature GPS, 5G, and 4G LTE network support.
