Class 11 Student Fatally Struck Near School in Aligarh, UP: Authorities Report

A class 11 student, Mohammad Kaif, was shot and killed in Aligarh near AMU ABK Union School on Saturday. CCTV footage showed him on a scooter with three others when a group of men approached, leading to an altercation where one attacker shot him and used a sharp weapon. Bystanders alerted authorities, but the assailants fled before police arrived. Kaif was taken to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Aligarh:

A class 11 student was fatally shot in broad daylight near the AMU ABK Union School on Saturday, police reported.

According to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Proctor Mohamad Waseem Ali, CCTV footage showed Mohammad Kaif, a student from Sayed Hamid Senior Secondary School (Boys), sitting on his scooter with three others when a group of men approached. An argument broke out, during which one of the assailants opened fire at Mohammad Kaif and attacked him with a sharp instrument, he stated.

As bystanders shouted for help, the attackers escaped the scene before university security and police arrived.

Mohammad Kaif was immediately taken to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Civil Lines Circle Officer Abhay Pandey mentioned that police are in the process of filing an FIR based on the complaint lodged by the victim’s family.
