A win for DC would secure their playoff spot. Young spinner Shree Charani made her debut, replacing Titas Sadhu. Lanning noted the team’s depth and their recent win over MI. RCB’s captain Smriti Mandhana also preferred to bowl, aiming for their first home win after losing three consecutive matches. RCB made one change, bringing in spinner Ekta Bisht. Both teams currently lie in the points table’s competitive mid-region.

Meg Lanning, the captain of Delhi Capitals, won the toss and chose to bowl against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final match of the Bengaluru leg of WPL 2025. A victory tonight would secure DC’s spot in the playoffs.

DC gave a debut cap to young left-arm spinner Shree Charani, who represents Andhra in domestic cricket, replacing fast bowler Titas Sadhu. Lanning mentioned that the team has solid depth and that they “tried to relax during the day as much as possible”. The table-topping DC played their last match just 24 hours ago, comfortably defeating MI by nine wickets.

Smriti Mandhana also preferred to bowl and aimed for their “first win at home” this season. RCB made one alteration to the XI that lost to Gujarat Giants, with left-arm spinner Ekta Bisht coming in for legspinner Prema Rawat.

RCB has suffered defeats in all three of their home games in Bengaluru after starting the WPL with two victories. Presently, they sit third in the points table, boasting a better net run rate than UP Warriorz and Giants, both of whom also have four points.
