Mumbai Police Get Threatening Text from Pakistani Number Regarding Explosion at Chief Minister’s Office

Mumbai traffic police received a threatening message from a Pakistan number, warning of plans to blow up Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ office. The message, sent by an individual named Malik Shahbaz Raza, prompted a case to be registered at Worli police station. Authorities have initiated a probe into the unidentified sender. This incident follows previous threats, including harm to actor Salman Khan and a threat against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which resulted in an arrest. Another recent threat targeted Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, leading to two arrests in Buldhana.

The WhatsApp helpline of the Mumbai traffic police received a message from a Pakistani number threatening to blow up the office of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mantralaya, an official reported on Thursday.

The message came from an individual identifying himself as Malik Shahbaz Raza and was received on Thursday, after which a case was filed at the Worli police station, the official stated.

“The threat message is written in English. A case has been lodged against an unknown individual and an investigation is underway,” the official added.

The Mumbai traffic police helpline has previously received similar threat messages.

In November of last year, a message threatened actor Salman Khan and demanded Rs 5 crore as extortion.

In December, a threatening message aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi resulted in the arrest of a 37-year-old individual from Jharkhand, captured in Rajasthan.

On February 21 of this year, a message was received that threatened to detonate the vehicle of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, leading to the arrest of two suspects from Buldhana.
