Elon Musk praised US Vice President JD Vance as the “best VP ever” and expressed his belief that Vance will become a future president. Musk, a major supporter of Donald Trump, has been granted significant authority in Trump’s administration to cut government spending and restructure federal agencies. Since taking office, Musk has been frequently seen working closely with Trump, often more than with Vance. Vance, the third-youngest and relatively inexperienced vice president, has shifted his views on Trump since their early political interactions, having previously criticized him but later gaining Trump’s endorsement for his Ohio Senate campaign.
Washington:
Elon Musk stated on Friday that US Vice President JD Vance is destined to follow in Donald Trump’s footsteps as a “future president.”
“The best VP ever and our future President,” the tech billionaire wrote on his social media platform, X.
Musk, who is the wealthiest person in the world and one of Trump’s primary donors for the 2024 presidential campaign, shared a similar sentiment last week, declaring: “The best VP ever and hopefully our future President.”
Since assuming office last month, President Trump has granted Musk significant authority to explore ways to reduce government expenditure and restructure or dismantle federal agencies, assigning him the role of head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
As a “special government employee” and “senior adviser to the president,” Musk has frequently been seen alongside Trump during his initial weeks in office, more so than Vance.
Vance is recorded as the third-youngest vice president in history and is among the least experienced, having held only one term as a US senator prior.
A best-selling author, Vance’s perspective on Trump has altered considerably since the president’s first term in the White House.
During Trump’s initial election, Vance was a staunch “Never Trumper,” labeling the conservative mogul as “a moral disaster” and making comparisons to Adolf Hitler.
However, Vance transformed his image upon entering politics, securing Trump’s endorsement in the 2022 Ohio Senate election.
